Name : Ruan Junting

Born : July 1st 1980

Biography : With a master in Fine Arts (design section), Rain started in 1997 to produce and publish comics, as well as covers and illustrations for magazines. She has been invited to many exhibitions in the world, for example at the Compound Gallery in California, in 2006, or at «Comic artist’s desire» in Hong Kong Arts Center, in 2007. She also worked a lot in animation, on the movie «White Snake» of which she was director at the beginning. This movie has been selected for the Aimation Festival of Annecy in 2007, and for the International Festival of Stuttgart in 2008 (the only Chinese movie selected). This work has been then shown everywhere in the world. Rain also attended the «Exhibition on modern Chinese cinema» in Montreal and to the 10th International week end of animation in Wiesbaden (Germany).

She is working now on new comic projects, but also cooperates with the movie director John Woo, on character design. Rain is a teacher of animation at the «China Academy of Art School of Media and Animation».
She is published for the first time in Europe.
